Are you ready to experience one of the Country’s top fireworks shows? Addison Kaboom Town!, delivered by Gopuff, has been wowing fans all across our 4.4-square-mile town for years. 2021 is no exception! With a 30-minute firework show at around 9:30 p.m., that is paired with a patriotic soundtrack, it is a show you do not want to miss. Here is what you should expect on July 3rd and tips on how to have an unforgettable and safe evening.
Have a Plan and Book your Hotel Package
The annual city-produced watch event at Addison Circle Park is back for 2021 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.! This year, a free-ticketing system was used to control crowds to help with the overall safety and enjoyment of the show. If you did not get a ticket through Kaboom Town!’s website before they sold out. No need to worry! Tickets are still available with the booking of an Addison Town hotel package. Packages start below $90 and include a room, six tickets to the park, and a commemorative blanket (while supplies last).
Find Your Vibe at Kaboom Town! Watch Party
If you are searching for an opportunity to enjoy the show outside of Addison Circle Park, luckily the show can be seen from anywhere in Addison. Many restaurants and businesses are hosting Kaboom Town! Watch Parties, in which a list of these places can be found here and are updated daily. A lot of these watch parties require or recommend a reservation, so make sure to plan ahead!
There is something for everyone: whether you want a casual patio party, fine cuisine, themed cocktails, a live concert, or even karaoke to celebrate, Addison has got you covered. At these watch parties, you will be able to not only see the fireworks, but also the Addison Airport Freedom Flyover at 7:30pm which is new for 2021. The annual airshow was transformed into a flyover that will cover all of Addison! The show will also be accessible through radio on Star 102.1 FM!
Pack Your Kit and How to Come Prepared
No matter where in Addison you find yourself experiencing Kaboom Town! There are many ways to ensure an enjoyable evening. If you are planning to celebrate at Addison Circle Park, make sure you read the rules of what you can or cannot bring into the park. Furthermore, pop-up tents or shade structures will not be allowed. All bags will be screened upon entry. Also, we recommend that you come prepared with a portable power bank, as many people will be streaming the shows, therefore cell service can become challenging. Another tip is to find local wi-fi sources!
