Submit an Event

Are you hosting an event or know of something happening in Addison that visitors would love? We're here to help you get the word out! Submit your public event to be featured on our website, and reach a wider audience.

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Location: Events must be held in Addison, TX.
  2. Accessibility: All events must be open to the general public.
  3. Event Type: We accept festivals, art galleries/openings, holiday events, cultural and heritage events, and community performances.
  4. Online Presence: Your event must be listed on your organization's website or Facebook page. Please provide the URL in your submission.
  5. Specific Date/Time: Events must have a specific date and time, and recurring events must include an end date.
  6. Complete Form. Please give us as much information as possible including location, time, dates, an image, contact details, and any other details, including admission fees.

Image Requirements:

  • Only high-resolution images are accepted (at least 600px x 400px).
  • We reserve the right to reject, modify, and reuse all submitted images.
  • Events listed on the calendar may be mentioned on Visit Addison's social channels, but this is not guaranteed. When submitting your event, include images with this in mind. Horizontal, square, and pictures without text overlay work best.

Important Notes:

  • Approval Process: Your event will not appear immediately after submission. It will go through an approval process to ensure it meets our criteria.
  • Notification: You will be notified via email within 48 hours if your event is approved.
  • Exclusions: The following will not be considered for the Event Calendar: Auditions K-8 school performances, Church services, Political fundraisers.  Note: Exceptions to these guidelines may be made at the discretion of the Visit Addison staff.
