The holidays are a special time in Addison, filled with bright lights, festive events, and a whole lot of community spirit. It is also the perfect season to give back. Whether you want to volunteer your time, support a local nonprofit, donate food or toys, or simply spread a little kindness, there are plenty of meaningful ways to help your neighbors. This guide highlights easy, impactful ways to give back in Addison and make a difference this holiday season.
Dolce Paradiso
Help spread holiday joy by contributing to Dolce Paradiso’s annual toy drive. They are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children from birth to 8 years old, which will be gifted to families served by The Warren Center in early December.
A donation box is available in the lobby now through December 5. Guests who bring in a toy to donate will receive 20% off their order at the cafe. Give joy and get a little joy in return.
Lazy Dog
Lazy Dog is partnering with Habitat for Humanity on a special holiday project that blends festive fun with meaningful impact. For a limited time, guests can order a DIY Gingerbread House Kit for takeout or delivery for just $7.50. And here is the sweet part: every kit purchased helps support Habitat for Humanity’s work in building homes for families in need. 100% of the net proceeds from each kit go directly to local homebuilding efforts.
