Hi! I’m Taste Jr., and I just know you will have the best weekend at Taste Addison! If you’ve never been before, it’s this super cool festival with yummy food, fun rides, music, and tons of things to do—all at a giant park! If you’re a kid like me, here’s all the awesome stuff you just have to check out.

The Rides & Games Are EPIC!

The carnival is my favorite part! There are rides that spin, some that go super-fast, and a Ferris wheel that takes you super high (if your parents let you). You can also win crazy prizes playing midway games!

Cool Shows & a Piñata Smash

Over at the Blue Dot Spot, you can see puppet shows, a magician, a bubble show, and these fire dancers who spin fire around like it’s no big deal. This is one of my favorite places at Taste Addison!

OH! And on Sunday at the World Beats Stage, there’s a giant piñata that kids like me get to take a swing at 1:30pm! I’m totally bringing my A-game for that one.

Dancing Like Nobody’s Watching

Silent Disco at Taste Addison

Okay, so there’s this thing called Studio 24 and it's a Silent Disco. You put on headphones, and there are three different music stations you can switch between. I was jamming out to one song while my dad was dancing to some old music (which was embarrassing but also kind of funny).

Bite-Sized Backyard—Just for Kids!

There’s a whole area made just for kids called the Bite-Sized Backyard! It’s got fun activities, games, and even face painting.

What Happens If You Lose Your Parents?

So, here’s something cool—if you lose your parents (because sometimes they just wander off), there’s a Lost Parents Tent! They give you a wristband with their phone number so someone can call them and tell them to come back. Addison says there are no lost kids, only lost parents, which is funny because it’s so true.

 So. Much. Food.

Slider Bite at Taste Addison

There are so many restaurants at Taste Addison, and they all have yummy food. I had crawfish, bacon on a stick, and a gooey chocolate chip cookie that I got all over my face. Don’t worry if you only eat chicken tenders, we have those, too.

Live Music (AKA, Where Grown-Ups Sing Loudly)

There are bands playing all weekend, and I guess they’re pretty famous because my parents got WAY too excited last year when some of them started playing. They said this year’s line up is even better! But it’s fun because you can sit on the grass, eat snacks, and dance (or just watch your parents dance really badly).

Best. Weekend. Ever.

Taste Addison is SO much fun! If you like rides, cool shows, dancing, and ALL the snacks, you HAVE to go. Tell your parents to get tickets now so they don’t forget.

See you there! P.S. Save me a spot at the piñata!
