Cooler weather, seasonal flavors, and plenty of reasons to get out around town make fall a great time to explore Addison. Here are eight cozy ways to enjoy the season.

1. Sip Your Way Through the Addison Coffee Trail

Nothing says fall quite like a good cup of coffee, and the Addison Coffee Trail gives you an excuse to try a few new spots around town. The free digital pass brings together 13 local coffee favorites in one place. Check in at participating locations and earn rewards along the way, including coffee mugs, tumblers, picnic blankets, stickers, and more.

2. Make It a Night at the Theatre

A cool fall evening is the perfect excuse to catch a show in Addison. The Addison Performing Arts Centre is home to local productions throughout the year, with everything from comedies and musicals to dramas and special performances. Make a night of it by grabbing dinner nearby before the show or stopping for drinks afterward.

3. Take Dinner Outside

In Texas, fall is prime patio season and Addison has plenty of patios to choose from. Settle in under the string lights at Ida Claire, enjoy Italian food and a glass of wine on the patio at Antonio Ristorante, grab a table at Loro for Asian-inspired smoked meats, or make it a pizza-and-pasta night at Pie Tap. Add a cool breeze and a fall sunset, and you have a pretty good way to spend an October evening.

4. Attend a Comedy Show

Laugh the night away at Addison Improv, where top comedians take the stage every weekend. The relaxed, club-style setting and full dinner menu make it an easy and entertaining choice for a lighthearted date. Buy your tickets at Addison Improv.

5. Grab a Local Brew at Bitter Sisters

Celebrate fall with a locally brewed pint at Bitter Sisters Brewery, Addison’s only brewery. The taproom serves a rotating lineup of craft beer brewed in-house, along with cider, wine, seltzer, and other options. Fall is also a great time to keep an eye on the brewery’s event calendar. From trivia nights to seasonal gatherings and local markets, there’s often something happening alongside the beer.

6. Find Your Favorite Fall Flavor

Fall flavors make their way onto menus as soon as September arrives, and Addison restaurants have plenty of opportunities to capture the season. Seasonal offerings can come and go quickly, so explore your favorite Addison spots to see what they are serving this fall.

7. Go on a Fall Public Art Hunt

Turn a walk around Addison into your own outdoor gallery tour. Public art is tucked throughout the Town’s parks, trails, and green spaces, giving you plenty to discover while enjoying the cooler weather.

Use Addison’s Public Art Tour through the Otocast app to learn more about the pieces and hear stories from the artists as you go. Grab a coffee beforehand, see how many installations you can find, and snap a few photos along the way.

8. Get Crafty at Fuzz Lab

When you want a cozy fall activity that’s a little more hands-on, head to Fuzz Lab Craft Store. This DIY craft studio lets you create everything from custom tufted rugs to drip bears, decorated phone cases, and other personalized projects. Bring a friend, pick a project, and spend an afternoon making something you can take home with you. It’s a fun indoor option for those cooler or rainy fall days.
