At the heart of La Spiga’s enduring success is Donato Milano’s deep culinary passion, rooted in his Italian upbringing. Every loaf of bread, every pastry, and every made-from-scratch dish is crafted with a commitment to quality and authenticity. Carolyn Milano handles the operational side of the business, ensuring that the café, catering services, and wholesale operations run seamlessly.

Over the years, La Spiga has flourished, expanding its original 7,000-square-foot café into a bustling 15,000-square-foot space to meet the growing demand for its wholesale business. They have distributed Artisan breads and baked goods for the last 30 years to some of the region’s most well-known hotels, restaurants, and Country Clubs, including several Marriotts, Embassy Suites Frisco, Omni PGA Frisco, III Forks, East Hampton Sandwich Co., Breadwinners, Kenny’s, and Marido Golf Course.

Despite its impressive growth, La Spiga has never wavered from its café roots. The warm, inviting space continues to serve breakfast and lunch, with loyal customers returning time and again for signature sandwiches, hearty pasta dishes, and comforting soups. For those seeking a convenient family meal, La Spiga also offers heat-and-serve options for dinner at home.

As it celebrates three decades of excellence, La Spiga remains a beloved gathering spot for locals and a testament to the Milano’s’ dedication to serving their community. Stop by to enjoy a meal, pick up fresh baked goods, and savor a true taste of Italy in Addison.
