Police Emergency Relief Fund

The Town of Addison has established a new initiative to enhance the Police Department’s ability to provide emergency support to those in need. The Community Assistance Fund has been created to allow officers to offer immediate aid, such as providing a hotel room for a homeless family or addressing other urgent needs, without the burden of personal financial contributions.

In the past, Addison police officers have often used their own funds or gift cards donated to the department to assist individuals in crisis. With the formalization of this new fund, officers will have a dedicated resource to help those in difficult situations.
